Is it possible to completely disable wp-cron.phptask for WordPress in Plesk?

Answer

wp-cron.php task is necessary for checking plugins or themes updates, sending email notifications, publishing scheduled posts and other needed regular tasks.

Functionality to fully disable wp-cron.php task has not been implemented in WP Toolkit yet.

The idea behind the task is created when enabling Disable wp-cron.php option is to allow control over the time when wp-cron runs as this may improve the site performance when there is high traffic.
It is currently possible only to change its schedule at Domains > example.com > Scheduled Tasks. Any other changes or even its manual removal will be restored within an hour by the next execution of WordPress maintenance task.
