Error when installing 360agent: syntax error in expression (error token is “(Core)”)

Symptoms

• During 360agent installation on a CentOS 7 server, the following error can be seen on the command line or the log file /var/log/agent360.log:

  agent360.sh: line 445: [[: 7 (Core): syntax error in expression (error token is "(Core)")
  [ERROR] The script could not found a way to configure the service

Cause

Extra wording on the /etc/os-release file.

Resolution

1. Connect to the server via SSH

2. Edit file /etc/os-release and remove the word "Core" from it.

3. Try installing 360agent again.
