 How to install / uninstall Plesk components?

Question

How to install/remove Plesk additional components (like PHP, Spam Assassin, Fail2Ban, Kaspersky AntiVirus, Plesk Premium antivirus etc.)?

Answer

Note: not all components can be uninstalled.

Note: TCP port 8447 should be opened on the server.

via Plesk interface

  1. Log in to Plesk.

  2. Go to Plesk > Tools & Settings > Updates and Upgrades > Add/Remove components:

    Note: since Plesk Obsidian Plesk > Tools & Settings > Updates > Add/Remove components

  3. Mark the required components for the installation/removing by pressing the screenshot_4.png icon opposite the corresponding component and clicking the Install/Remove button:

  4. Click the Continue button to install/remove Plesk additional components.

via Command Line Interface (CLI) for Linux

  1. Connect to the server via SSH.

  2. Launch Plesk Installer:

    # plesk installer

  3. Follow instructions on the screen.

via Command Line Interface (CLI) for Windows

  1. Connect to the server via RDP.

  2. Open Command Prompt.

  3. Launch Plesk Installer in the console:

    C:> plesk installer --console

  4. Follow instructions on the screen.
