Error when accessing Plesk: Unable to get PSADb administrator password: The system cannot find the file specified

Symptoms

Cause

Broken Plesk files.

Resolution

  1. Connect to the server via RDP.

  2. Download the plesk-core.zip package from the Plesk repository http://autoinstall-win.plesk.com/pool/release/.

    Note: make sure to download the package for the appropriate Plesk version, including microupdates.

  3. Create a temporary directory (for example, C:pleskmsi) and unpack the package to it.

  4. Replace files in %plesk_dir%admin/plib with files from C:pleskmsiProgram FilesParallelsPleskadminplib.

  5. Repair Plesk installation via Plesk Reconfigurator: Repair Plesk installation > Plesk services.

  6. After that, repair Plesk accounts via Plesk Reconfigurator: Repair Plesk installation > Plesk server accounts.

  7. Install the latest Plesk updates.
