How to set the weekdays and time range for automatic Plesk updates?

Answer

Update times can be set for license clusters (partners only) or individual servers. For the latter, the time is set in panel.ini, and the following should be considered:

• The set time only applies to major updates (e.g. 18.0.66) and doesn't affect minor updates and hotfixes (e.g. 18.0.65.2).
• No less than two weekdays or hours should be set, and they should be set in UTC.
• A time range determines when the installation will start, but does not guarantee it will finish in that timeframe.

With those points in mind, follow these steps to change the schedule:

1. Log in to Plesk

2. Edit panel.ini and add this configuration to the end:

   Note: These are example values. Adjust as needed.

   [updates]
   updateDays = saturday,sunday
   timeFrameStart = 11
   timeFrameEnd = 18

   In this example, Plesk updates will be installed only on Saturdays and Sundays between 11:00 and 18:00 UTC.
