Git is not hard to pick up, even for beginners. It boasts minimal resource use and performs extremely quickly. It can outperform other SCM tools such is Subversion, CVS, Perforce, and ClearCase, thanks to features such as cheap local branching, handy staging areas, and numerous workflows.
