Wanted: a Plesk Wapuu created by you - Plesk

Submit a Plesk Wapuu!

Here, at Plesk, we love WordPress and we love Wapuu. There are tons of them everywhere and more and more are created every day. Since its creation by Kazuko Kaneuchi, for 2011 WordCamp Fukuoka, Wapuu has turned from the mascot of the Japanese WordPress community into a worldwide sensation, inspiring design enthusiasts around the world to personalize and accessorize Wapuu.

If you work with WordPress you’ve probably seen a few versions of Wapuu yourself. Or you can get inspired by the numerous Wapuus featured on Wapuu’s official Twitter account

So, let’s create a Plesk Wapuu as well! Do you want to help?

Since we love Wapuu so much, we wanted to create one for Plesk as well. One that’s quirky and fun, but also a bit like a superhero. The kind that often goes unnoticed because a lot of what it does (keeping cyber threats at bay, helping you save time with admin tasks, offering a safe environment to build, run and secure your work) is invisible.

So, we need your help to find out Plesk Wapuu!

How it works:
Wapuu is distributed under the GPLv2 or later which gives anyone permission to modify it. Our challenge to you is to create a Plesk-inspired Wapuu.

From now until the 1st of June we’ll accept Wapuu submissions (just use the form below), after which we’ll start the voting for the best Plesk Wapuu.

How we’re going to celebrate the winner Wapuu:
The creator of the winner Plesk Wapuu will get featured here on the blog and via our social media outlets. We’ll also print lots of stickers with your creation and we’ll send you some cool Plesk Wapuu swag.

Who can participate?
Do you love Plesk, WordPress and Wapuu? Then you’re invited to participate 🙂

  • The shape of the lips and nose has to remain the same and the eyes should be a solid color
  • Most Wapuus have a border, usually the double of the inside lines, which are commonly 1.5px
  • Wapuu generally has a rounder body shape
