Why PHP versions are marked as ‘outdated’ in Plesk?

In Plesk Interface (Subscriptions > example.com > PHP Settings) some PHP versions are marked as 'outdated'. What does it mean?

Click Install

Answer

'Outdated' means that the PHP version has reached its End-of-Life.

Refer to the official PHP website for more details.

These versions are still available for installation via Plesk Installer and can be enabled on a website at one's own risk.
