PHP handlers “served by Apache” are not available in PHP settings on Plesk UI

Symptoms

• The option FPM application served by Apache or FastCGI application served by Apache is not available in the drop-down menu in Plesk in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings > run PHP as.

• The issue persists for every chosen PHP version in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings.

Cause

The disabled Proxy Mode option in Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings turns off using Apache. As the result, the option FPM application served by Apache or FastCGI application served by Apache is not displaying.

Resolution

1. Log in to Plesk.

2. Go to Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings.

3. Enable the option Proxy Mode and press the OK button.
