How to install a local mail server or switch between mail servers in Plesk for Windows?

Answer

Plesk allows to install MailEnable Standard Edition using Plesk Installer. Other supported mail servers (see Windows: Mail servers in Plesk Software Requirements) are not shipped with Plesk - they should be downloaded from their official websites and installed manually. Installing MailEnable mail server via Plesk

 

  1. Go to Tools & Settings and click Updates and Upgrades (Plesk).

  2. On the Updates and Upgrades page, click Add/Remove Components.

  3. On the Add/Remove Components page, select MailEnable Standard Edition for installation

  4. Click Continue to begin the installation.

 

Installing MailEnable mail server via a command-line interface

 

  1. Connect to a Plesk server via RDP.

  2. Start a command prompt as an administrator and install MailEnable mail server:

    C:> plesk installer --select-release-current --install-component mailenable
