How to create and restore backups using Dropbox Backup extension in Plesk?

Note: Scheduled subscription backups in a remote cloud/SFTP storage is a premium feature that can be unlocked with a single purchase of Backup to Cloud Pro license.

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Install Dropbox Backup extension in Extensions > Dropbox Backup > Install.

To create/restore a full server backup:

  • Creating a full server backup:
  1. Navigate to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager.

  2. Press the Remote Storage Settings button.

  3. In the opened window click on Dropbox Backup, enter your Dropbox account details, and go through all steps there.

  4. To create a backup go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > press the Back Up button.

  5. Select the required storage and adjust other backup settings.

  6. Press OK to start the backup creation task.

 

  • Restoring a full server backup:
  1. Go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager.

  2. Click on the name of a backup from the list that should be restored.

  3. Select objects for restoration, specify other settings, and click the Restore button.

To create/restore a backup of a subscription:

  • Creating a subscription backup:
  1. Log into Plesk.

  2. Go to Subscription > example.com > Backup Manager.

  3. Press the Remote Storage Settings button.

  4. In the opened window click on Dropbox Backup, enter your Dropbox account details, and go through all steps there.

  5. To create a backup go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > press the Back Up button.

  6. Select the required storage and adjust other settings.

  1. Go to Subscription > example.com > Backup Manager.

  2. Click on the name of a backup from the list that should be restored.
