Domain hosted in Plesk showing blank page: PHP handler is corrupted

Symptoms

• Domain hosted in Plesk showing blank page

• PHP handler reflects as a corrupted in Tools & Settings > PHP Settings

• On attempts to choose the handler in Domians > example.com > PHP Settings the following error is shown:

  Unable to retrieve PHP settings because this handler is corrupted

Cause

Corrupted PHP handler.

Resolution

To fix the issue do the following:

1. Log into Plesk
2. Go to Domains > example.com > PHP Settings
3. Change the handler to the working one
4. Go to Updates and Upgrades > Add/remove components and remove the required PHP version
5. Install the necessary PHP version back
