Plesk VPN

  • Plesk VPN was a component that allowed setting up an OpenVPN service on a server. However, due to consistently low installation numbers and significant resources needed to update it for compatibility with Plesk Obsidian it has been decided to stop its development.

  • What to do? The OpenVPN can be installed and configured manually using official instructions

Plesk Skins

File Server

  • File Server, also known as File Sharing, was a component that allowed Plesk administrators to share directories on a network directly from the Plesk. Due to the low usage of this component it was decided to drop it.
  • What to do? Use a different solution, for example, install SeaFile extension

Windows 2008 R2

  • Windows 2008 R2 reached the end-of-life on January 14, 2020 and not supported anymore.
  • What to do? For those who use Plesk on this OS, we recommend migrating to supported Windows OS using Plesk Migrator

Ubuntu 14.04

  • This used to be an excellent OS, but unfortunately, it’s outdated since April 1, 2019.  As we are dedicated to focus our efforts on the latest, most secure OSes recommended by OS vendors, we are dropping Ubuntu 14.04 support.
  • What to do? For those who use Plesk on this OS, we recommend migrating to a different OS using Plesk Migrator.
