Usage statistics of a mailbox is displayed incorrectly in Plesk

Symptoms

The size of a mailbox at Domains > example.com > Email Addresses > Usage differs from the disk usage of this mailbox on the server:

# du -hs /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/john_doe
3.1MB

Cause

The file /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/john.doe/Maildir/maildirsize is corrupted.

Resolution

1. Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.

2. Repair the email account:

   # plesk repair mail [email protected]

3. Click Refresh Usage Stats at Domains > example.com > Email Addresses.
