Symptoms
-
The checkbox for Secure webmail on this domain is disabled in Domains > example.com > Let’s Encrypt with the following notice:
PLESK_INFO: Securing “mewebmail” webmail service is not supported. Configure mail settings.
-
MailEnable Webmail is used as a Webmail for the domain in Domains > example.com > Mail Settings > Webmail.
Cause
Securing MailEnable Webmail with Let’s Encrypt was implemented in the scope of the feature request EXTLETSENC-134 which was released in Let’s Encrypt 2.12.4.
Resolution
Update the extensions Let’s Encrypt and SSL It. Also, enable the feature Common-Challenge Directory:
-
Connect to the server via RDP
-
Open the command prompt as Administrator
-
Enable Common-Challenge Directory:
C:> plesk ext sslit –common-challenge-dir -enable
As a workaround, perform the following steps:
-
Switch webmail to Horde using the following article: How to change webmail for a subscription?
-
Secure the domain and webmail with a Let’s Encrypt certificate under Domains > example.com > Let’s Encrypt > Secure webmail on this domain.
-
Switch webmail back to MailEnable (see step 2 for instructions).
Note: webmail Contacts will be available again after this.
