Symptoms

The Plesk Premium Email extension has been updated to the version 16.12.5.

Unable to log into webmail with the following errors:
Internal Server Error
- Below error can be found in
/var/log/messages
:Jul 14 05:49:40 server cgi_wrapper[1546]: can not find appropriate version of php ~ `plesk-php-fastcgi' in `/etc/psa/php_versions.json'

The following warning can be found in the extension’s page:
PLESK_WARN: Necessary packages are not installed.
Cause
The recent update of Plesk Premium Email has broken the webmail.
Resolution

Go to Plesk Premium Email.

Click the Install button in the warning box:
PLESK_WARN: Necessary packages are not installed.Â
Note: If Plesk Premium Email is not needed remove it from Plesk > Extensions > My Extensions > Plesk Premium Email, powered by Kolab > More > Remove
or as a workaround:
- Login to the server via SSH.
- Execute below command:
# /usr/local/psa/bin/php_handler –add -displayname 5.4.16 -path /bin/php-cgi -phpini /etc/php.ini -type fastcgi -id plesk-php-fastcgi -clipath /usr/bin/php-cgi
