Question
How to disable customers from changing main domain name from Plesk GUI?
How to forbid an webspace owner to rename the main domain?
Answer
Disabling a customer from changing its domain name from Plesk GUI can be performed at Subscription or Service Plan level:
- Forbid all customers to change main domain name going to Plesk > Tools & Settings > Server Settings > Enable Forbid customers to change the name of their main domain option > OK to apply changes. See Administrator’s Guide for more details.
- Disable permission for one subscription going to Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Customize > Permissions > Show more available permissions > Uncheck Domains management > OK to apply changes. Notice that subscription will become locked. See Administrator’s Guide for more details.
- Disable permission for all subscriptions assigned to a Service Plan going to Plesk > Service Plans > Click on Service Plan name > Permissions tab> Show more permissions > Uncheck Domains management > OK to apply changes. Only unlocked subscription will synchronize with changes applied on its Service Plan. See Administrator’s Guide for more details.
