Symptoms
Successful renewal notifications are received daily from Plesk Let’s Encrypt extension:
PLESK_INFO: The following domains of John Doe (login admin) have been secured with Let’s Encrypt certificates:
<none>
The following Let’s Encrypt certificates for John Doe (login admin) have been renewed:
* ‘Lets Encrypt example.com’
– example.com
Cause
Two or more Let’s Encrypt certificates with the same name are present for the domain example.com and at least one of them is expired or needs to be renewed.
Resolution
Before applying solution, investigate the root cause! it is needed to know why such duplicates may appear
- Log into Plesk interface
- Go to Domains > example.com > SSL/TLS Certificates;
- Remove the unused certificate (the one tha has a 0 in the Used column) or certificates by selecting them and clicking on Remove:
- Renew the certificate left by going to Domains > example.com > Let’s Encrypt and click on Renew.
