Plesk is the leading WebOps hosting platform to run, automate and grow applications, websites and hosting businesses. Being the only OS agnostic platform, Plesk is running on more than 384,000 servers, automating 11M+ websites and 15M+ mailboxes. Different development teams are working on the core Plesk product, different Plesk extensions, and online services around the core product (both internal and public). In order to organize the development process and introduce new tools and practices, we created the DevOps HQ (Headquarters) team.

WE OFFER AN EXCITING ROLE WITH DIVERSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize the development process (Jenkins, Jira, BitBucket, Confluence).
  • Implement and maintain common artifacts storage for JS, PHP, GO, and Docker (we are using JFrog Artifactory and Harbor).
  • Implementation and development of internal microservice platform based on Kubernetes.
  • Organize migration of workloads to clouds (our main cloud provider is AWS, where we have a group of — accounts in AWS organization, Single Sign-on, permissions control, etc.).
  • Sharing of knowledge and experience (practices and tools that we are introducing need to be presented to teams explaining benefits and importance)
    Infrastructure as a Code (Ansible, Terraform).
  • We work as internal AWS Solution Architects for other teams. We are ready to help with the migration of different services to AWS, preparing trainings and offering direct assistance.
  • Maintaining security access control (using Vault, access to Jira, Jenkins and other services).
  • Integration of services using Azure AD (Dex and other ways).
  • Organize common monitoring platform for other teams and active monitoring of our own services (Grafana, Prometheus, AlertManager, ElasticSearch, LogStash, CloudWatch, and other).
  • Most of our services are for internal usage only, but we treat them as public production services (tracking incidents with OpsGenie, focusing on reliability and availability).
  • Implementation and maintenance of Continuous Localization process for all development teams for – – translation of product contents to different languages (CrowdIn, Serge, Argo).
  • Research of new products and technologies.

WE NEED YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

Language Skills – English (Intermediate or Higher)

Requirements:

  • Three years of development experience.
  • Real experience in maintenance of services 24×7
  • Good understanding of the internals of modern Linux systems (you can diagnose problems, find the root cause, and fix it.)
  • Ability to configure monitoring for service (graphs, logs, and traces)
  • Professional skills with Git and Docker
  • Automation skills (Ansible/Terraform/scripts)

Would be nice if you have an experience with:

  • Building CI/CD processes and automated pipelines.
  • Have real experience with deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes.
  • Have experience with AWS more than just EC2 creation and S3 publishing. (For example, AWS Associate or AWS Solution Architect certifications).
  • Understand how to configure Prometheus and AlertManager, and have experience with Grafana.
  • Have experience with Jenkins (writing pipelines and shared libraries).
  • You have development experience.
  • Have experience with high-load systems (architecture, build, and maintenance).
